These terms explain the rules for using Prism Mapper, how plans, the free trial and AI credits work, and what each of us is responsible for. The key points: paid plans renew automatically until you cancel, you can cancel any time in Manage billing, your content stays yours, and you must project safely and with permission.

1. About these terms

These terms are the agreement between you and H4Z Development Services Limited, trading as Prism Mapper, for using Prism Mapper: the website at https://prismmapper.com, the studio at https://app.prismmapper.com, and the plans, AI credits and other services we offer through them (together, “the service”).

H4Z Development Services Limited, trading as Prism Mapper, is a private limited company incorporated in Gibraltar (company number 124216), whose registered office is at Suite 4, 2nd Floor, The West Wing, Montarik House, 3 Bedlam Court, Gibraltar GX11 1AA. In these terms “we”, “us” and “our” mean H4Z Development Services Limited, trading as Prism Mapper, and “you” means the person using the service.

By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. Please read them with our Privacy Policy, our Cancellations & Refunds policy and our Cookie Policy, which form part of them.

If you are a consumer, you have legal rights that these terms don’t take away, under applicable consumer law, including (for UK customers) the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and Consumer Rights Act 2015, and (for EU customers) the Consumer Rights Directive. In the UK, Citizens Advice can tell you more about them.

2. Your account

You need an account to use the studio. You can sign up with an email address and password or with Google.

  • You must be 18 or over, or have the permission of a parent or guardian who agrees to these terms for you. The service isn’t for children under 13.
  • Give us accurate details and keep your email address up to date.
  • Keep your password safe and don’t share your account. You’re responsible for what happens on your account unless it was used without your permission and you weren’t at fault.
  • Tell us straight away at hello@h4z.co.uk if you think someone else has used your account.
  • One person per account. Plans are for the account holder, not for sharing.

3. The free plan and paid plans

The Free plan costs nothing and has no time limit. It has limits (for example on projectors, shapes, looks and saved projects), adds a small watermark to projections, and includes 2 AI credits once, when you sign up.

The paid plans are Creator, Studio and Pro. What each one includes, and its price in your currency, are shown on our pricing page. The price you pay is the one shown at checkout, including any VAT or sales tax that applies.

Free and Creator are for personal, non-commercial projects. Studio and Pro include commercial use, such as paid gigs, events, client work and venues.

If your plan ends or you move to a lower plan, projects you made keep playing as they are, with the watermark where the lower plan has one. Adding more than the lower plan allows, and its locked features, won’t be available until you upgrade again.

We may change what the plans include or cost. We’ll tell you at least 30 days before a price change affects your subscription, and the new price applies from your next renewal after that. If you don’t want to continue at the new price, you can cancel before then.

4. Subscriptions, renewal and cancelling

  • Paid plans are subscriptions, billed monthly or yearly, as you choose at checkout. Payment is taken by our payment provider, Stripe, at the start of each billing period.
  • Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, for the same length of time and at the current price, until you cancel.
  • You can cancel at any time in Manage billing on your account page (Stripe’s billing portal). Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep your plan until the end of the period you’ve already paid for, and then your account moves to Free.
  • You can change plan in Manage billing too. Changes are prorated: you pay, or are credited, for the time spent on each plan.
  • Apart from your rights in our Cancellations & Refunds policy (including the 14-day cooling-off period), we don’t refund part-used billing periods.
  • If a payment fails, Stripe will try again and we may contact you. If it still can’t be taken, your subscription may be cancelled and your account moved to Free.

5. The 7-day Studio trial

  • Studio comes with a free trial of 7 days. You need to add a card to start it. Nothing is charged during the trial.
  • When the trial ends, your card is charged for the billing period you chose, and the subscription then renews automatically, unless you cancel before the trial ends. You can cancel the trial at any time in Manage billing, and you won’t be charged.
  • The trial doesn’t include AI credits. Included credits start once you pay.
  • There’s one trial per person and per account.

6. AI credits

AI credits pay for AI generations in the studio, such as video clips made from a prompt. Each generation uses credits according to what it costs us to make, and the studio shows you how many before you start.

  • Included credits: paid plans include a number of credits each month (shown on the pricing page), including on yearly billing. They start when a payment goes through and are topped back up to your plan’s amount each month. Unused included credits don’t carry over to the next month, and they end when your paid plan ends.
  • Credit packs: you can buy packs of 20, 50 and 100 credits as one-off purchases. Bought credits, and the 2 credits you get when you sign up, don’t expire while your account is open.
  • Included credits are used first, then bought credits.
  • If a generation fails on our side or our AI provider’s, the credits it used are given back automatically.
  • Credits are non-refundable once used. Unused credit packs can be refunded within 14 days of purchase, as set out in our Cancellations & Refunds policy.
  • Credits have no cash value, can’t be exchanged for money (except for a refund under our refund policy or the law) and can’t be transferred to another account.
  • Credits are lost if your account is closed, unless the law says otherwise.

7. Acceptable use and safety

When you use the service, you agree not to:

  • create, upload, project or share anything illegal, or anything that is threatening, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit involving anyone under 18, or that encourages violence or harm;
  • infringe anyone else’s rights, including copyright, trade marks, privacy and image rights (for example, uploading or projecting images, videos or music you don’t have the right to use, or images of people without their permission);
  • project onto buildings, land or other property without the permission of the owner or whoever controls it;
  • misuse the service: for example, trying to get around plan limits or payments, breaking or overloading our systems, accessing other people’s accounts or data, or reverse engineering the service except where the law allows it;
  • use the AI features to try to produce content that breaks these rules.

Projecting safely is your responsibility. Projectors are bright light sources, and a projection can reach further than you expect. In particular:

  • never point a projection where it could dazzle or distract drivers, riders, pilots or anyone operating machinery, including at roads, railways and aircraft (shining a light at an aircraft is a criminal offence in the UK);
  • follow local rules: outdoor and public projections may need permission from the landowner, the local council or other authorities, and noise, nuisance and licensing rules may apply;
  • take care with flashing and strobing effects, which can affect people with photosensitive epilepsy, and warn your audience where appropriate;
  • set up equipment safely (cables, heat, ventilation, stable mounting), and keep people, especially children, from looking directly into the projector’s beam.

8. Your content

Your projects, the images, videos and music you add, your phone scans and your AI prompts (“your content”) stay yours. We don’t claim ownership of them.

You give us permission to store, copy, process, transmit and display your content only as needed to run the service for you: for example, to pass a phone scan to your studio, send media to the devices at your projector, or send a prompt and image to our AI provider to make a clip you asked for. This permission is worldwide and free of charge, and it ends when your content is deleted from our systems, except for copies we must keep by law.

Your projects are saved in your own browser on your own device, not on our servers. Keep your own backups (paid plans can export projects). Clearing your browser’s data can delete them, and we can’t recover them.

You’re responsible for your content and for having the rights to use it. We may remove content, or suspend features, if we reasonably believe it breaks these terms or the law.

9. AI features

Some features use artificial intelligence, provided by a third party (currently Google’s Gemini API for AI clips). Please be aware that:

  • AI output is generated automatically. It can be unexpected, inaccurate or unsuitable, and it may look like other people’s work. Check it before you show or use it, and use it at your own judgement.
  • We don’t promise that a generation will match your prompt, or that AI output is unique or free of third-party rights.
  • As between you and us, we don’t claim ownership of what you generate. You’re responsible for how you use it, including in public and commercial projects.
  • Don’t put other people’s personal information or images into prompts unless you have the right to. Our AI provider may refuse prompts or images under its own safety rules.
  • How your prompts and images are handled is explained in our Privacy Policy.

10. Our service

The service, including the studio, the website and their design and software, belongs to us. Your plan gives you the right to use the service as these terms describe, and nothing more.

We work to keep the service available, secure and working well, but it runs on the internet and on your own equipment, so we can’t promise it will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free. We may need to pause it for maintenance, updates or reasons outside our control. We’ll try to give notice of planned downtime.

We improve the service over time and may change, add or remove features. If a change significantly reduces what your paid plan gives you, we’ll tell you in advance and you can cancel; if you do, we’ll refund any amount you’ve paid for the period after the change.

11. Our responsibility to you

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that the law doesn’t allow us to limit or exclude. Nothing affects your legal rights as a consumer, including that digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described, and that services must be provided with reasonable care and skill.

If you’re a consumer, we’re responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. Loss is foreseeable if it is obvious it will happen, or if both of us knew it might happen when you agreed to these terms. We aren’t responsible for loss that isn’t foreseeable, for loss caused by your own equipment, content or breach of these terms, or for loss caused by events outside our reasonable control.

If you use the service for business, then to the extent the law allows: the service is provided “as is”, without warranties that aren’t set out in these terms; we aren’t liable for loss of profit, revenue, business, contracts, goodwill or data, or for any indirect or consequential loss; and our total liability to you in any 12 months is limited to the amount you paid us in those 12 months.

You’re responsible for how and where you project, including following Acceptable use and safety above. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t responsible for harm, damage or claims arising from projections you set up or the content you show.

12. Ending the agreement

You can stop using the service at any time. Cancel any subscription in Manage billing, and ask us to close your account by emailing hello@h4z.co.uk.

We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, don’t pay, or use the service in a way that could cause harm or legal liability to us or others. Where reasonable, we’ll tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem. If we close your account without a good reason under these terms, we’ll refund any amount you’ve paid for the period you won’t receive.

If we stop offering the service altogether, we’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice and refund any amount you’ve paid in advance for the period after it stops.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example to reflect changes to the service or the law. The date at the top shows when they were last updated. If a change materially affects you, we’ll tell you by email or in the service at least 30 days before it applies to an existing subscription. If you don’t agree, you can cancel before the change takes effect.

14. Law, disputes and contact

These terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them, are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.

If you are a consumer, this choice of law doesn’t take away the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you can also bring a claim in the courts of the country where you live (in the UK, for example, the courts of Scotland or Northern Ireland if you live there).

If something goes wrong, please contact us first at hello@h4z.co.uk and we’ll try to put it right.

If any part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don’t enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later. You can’t transfer your rights under these terms to anyone else without our agreement. We may transfer ours to another business, which won’t reduce your rights. Nobody else has rights under these terms.
